Warner Music Group and Spotify Ink Multi-Year Deal to Expand Music Streaming

Warner Music Group (WMG) and Spotify have announced a new multi-year agreement covering both recorded music and publishing. The deal aims to enhance the music streaming experience for artists, songwriters, and fans while driving innovation in the industry.
Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate on expanding audio-visual streaming, offering new fan experiences, and introducing additional subscription tiers and content bundles. A key highlight is the expansion of direct licensing with Warner Chappell Music in multiple countries, including the U.S., further benefiting songwriters.
WMG CEO Robert Kyncl described the deal as a major step toward better alignment between rights holders and streaming platforms, while Spotify CEO Daniel Ek emphasized their shared vision for innovation and growth in the music industry.
